Maida Engineering performed medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) power system studies and arc flash assessments for the power distribution systems serving the Exhibit Hall and Train Shed Buildings at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
The services performed included data collection and field verification, updating one-line diagrams and electrical equipment plan drawings, building and populating a power system model in SKM PTW software, performing short circuit analysis and equipment evaluation, TCC coordination studies across both the MV and LV systems, initial arc flash assessments with incident energy calculations, and production and installation of arc flash labels on all covered equipment.
Deliverables included: Technical Summary; Short Circuit Report; Equipment Evaluation Report; updated AutoCAD drawings; Captor TCC curves; and the Arc Flash Assessment Report — a complete documentation package supporting both code compliance and ongoing facility maintenance.
